Game Day Checklist for High School Football Fans (Printable)

Use this quick checklist so nothing gets forgotten on game day, whether you are heading to the stadium or watching from home.

The Morning Of

  • ☐ Tickets or cash for the gate
  • ☐ Small bills for concessions
  • ☐ Warm layers, hat, and gloves
  • ☐ Blanket or stadium seat cushion

  • ☐ Search for your school or game
  • ☐ Test your sound and video

  • ☐ Schedule handy so you know the time zone (Mountain Time)

Last-Minute Reminders

  • Be kind and respectful to everyone in the stands.

Extra Items Worth Packing

  • ☐ Hand warmers for cold nights
  • ☐ Sunscreen and sunglasses for early games
  • ☐ A small first aid kit or basic supplies
  • ☐ A compact umbrella or poncho
  • ☐ A folding chair if the venue allows them
  • ☐ Ear protection for young kids

Tips for Parents

  • Talk with your student about where to meet after the game.
  • Have a plan for getting home, especially if roads are icy.
  • Bring a snack for younger children, and make sure everyone has a warm layer.

After the Game

Be patient in the parking lot, since crowds leaving at once can create traffic. Take a moment to thank the volunteers, booster club members, and staff who made the night possible. If you watched online, consider sharing a note of support with the team or school.
